Terms of Service

For the purposes of these Terms:

• "Accommodation" means any residential or other property listed on the Platform.
• "Booking Policy" means Paxos Retreats' Cancellation/Refunds Policy, as amended from time to time.
• "Guest" means any individual who makes or attempts to make a Booking.
• "Host" means any individual, entity or agent with authority to list a property.
• "House Rules" means rules applicable to a specific Accommodation, as displayed in Booking information.
• "Listing" means an Accommodation, along with its content: images, descriptions, features, and other material made available on the Platform.

Paxos Retreats operates a technology-based online marketplace that enables Hosts to list Accommodations and Guests to search for and book Accommodations.

Paxos Retreats does not:

• own, lease, manage, or control any Accommodation;
• act as a landlord, property manager, Host, or Guest; and
• guarantee the condition, legality, or availability of any Accommodation.

Any accommodation agreement is concluded directly and exclusively between the Guest and the Host.

By using the Platform you agree to be bound by:

• the Booking Policy;
• the Privacy Policy; and
• any additional policies

each of which forms an integral part of this agreement. Amendments or revisions may be published from time to time. Is hereby expressly incorporated by reference into these Terms and forms an integral and legally binding part of this agreement. You are bound by all changes as of the time they are published and your continued use of the Platform after publication constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

Use of the Platform is limited to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age and have legal capacity to enter into contracts.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activity that occurs under their accounts.

Paxos Retreats reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Users may use the Platform solely for lawful purposes related to listing or booking Accommodations.

Users must not:

• misuse or copy content without authorization;
• interfere with the Platform's operation or security;
• use the Platform for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose.

Paxos Retreats may remove content or restrict access at its discretion.

Hosts are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of their listings, including any photographs, descriptions, and pricing. Paxos Retreats does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any listing and makes no representations or warranties regarding the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any Accommodation.

All Bookings are subject to:

• listing Availability;
• House Rules;
• the Booking Policy cancellation terms;
• Host Acceptance criteria.

Payments are processed through third party payment service providers. Paxos Retreats does not store full payment card details.

Prices, fees, and applicable taxes are disclosed prior to confirmation.

Guests agree to:

• comply with House Rules and listing terms;
• use the Accommodation only for its intended purpose and lawful ends;
• not exceed the maximum occupancy stated in the booking;
• be responsible to damage caused by themselves or their invitees.

Hosts warrant and agree that they:

• have legal authority to list the Accommodation;
• hold all necessary licenses and comply;
• provide with reasonable care the amenities and services described; and
• comply with applicable taxation rules and safety and health laws.

Accommodation may be subject to House Rules established by the Host, including rules relating to maximum number of guests, noise, cleaning, pets, smoking, safety, and care of the property.

Guests failing to comply may be removed. Paxos Retreats assumes no liability for injuries or losses arising from failure to comply.

Paxos Retreats does not enforce House Rules and owes no liability arising from them.

Hosts may require a security deposit, disclosed prior to Booking. Damage claims must be submitted and documented within the applicable time period as set out in the Host's terms and local law.

Paxos Retreats does not collect or arbitrate security disputes.

In the event that the Host must terminate occupancy during a booking or on a particular day, the Host may do so. This may result in the Guest forfeiting the remaining stay, subject to the Booking Policy.

Paxos Retreats encourages prompt reporting of any security issues affecting the stay to the Host and, where relevant, authorities. Failure to report in a timely manner may limit remedies, subject to applicable law.

Cancellations and refund terms are governed by the listing, the Host's cancellation policy, and the Booking Policy, subject to mandatory consumer protection laws.

Neither Paxos Retreats nor the Host shall be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as war, pandemic, or extreme weather, subject to applicable consumer protection law.

Members may submit reviews following a completed stay. Reviews must be truthful, lawful, and not defamatory.

Paxos Retreats reserves the right, but not the obligation, to remove reviews that violate these Terms or applicable law.

Personal data is processed in accordance with Paxos Retreats' Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. In accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

The Platform and Content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

Paxos Retreats makes no representations regarding Accommodations or User conduct.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paxos Retreats shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Paxos Retreats' total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the User to Paxos Retreats in the preceding twelve (12) months.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paxos Retreats from claims arising from:

• your breach of these Terms;
• use of the Platform;
• your User Content; or
• violation of law or third party rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece.

Disputes shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer jurisdiction rights.

Paxos Retreats may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any modified Terms.
